(Don’t) Just Follow Your Heart

(Don’t) Follow your heart
Keith
6/21/20

I’m sure everyone has heard the cliche saying, “just follow your heart and you can’t go wrong” or “just let your conscience be your guide”… I myself have been told this numerous times in my life. I may have even said this with my kids a time or two. I’m here to tell you that following your heart can sometimes get you into a lot of misery and trouble. Before you get defensive let me clarify that statement… it all depends on what is in your heart. Most people don’t understand that our hearts and minds can be manipulated and deceived. We can be duped into thinking a choice we make or something we do is for good and, sincerely believe we are helping others or doing the right things. From the very beginning (Genesis) people have been able to be deceived and, I’m sure that even Eve thought she was doing something good when she was deceived. According to scriptures it has always been an issue..2 Corinthians 11:3 says, “I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ”. Our deception has always been a concern for God Himself and not just in spiritual matters but every day living. Genesis 6:5 says, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”. Hey, i’m sure most of us don’t mean to be evil in our hearts. Man’s history proves that a lot of things which started out with good intent has, over time become corrupt and evil but, how can that be if we are filled with good intent and our heart tells us it is good? The Bible has a few things to say about the way we think with our hearts… Proverbs 16:25 says, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Also Jeremiah 17:9-10 says “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” so, if we can’t trust our own hearts what do we do? The simple answer, Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” I personally have heard that verse numerous times throughout my life but, I never really had that “light bulb moment” although I understood, I never really applied it to my own life. Like most people, we hear the word but don’t really apply it to our lives. I would think that’s a common problem among Christians, that we hear or read scripture and never put it into action in our own lives. So, with all of this you have just read it would seem that what we allow into our hearts and minds has an influence on us, wouldn’t you agree? So, What is our mind, our heart, our conscience being “fed” or filled with? What are you taking in visually, audibly that forms and molds our hearts, our conscience. OK, before I go on, you should understand I’m not here to condemn anything anyone does… only to get you to think differently… Here it comes, be ready!

TV, video games, music, the daily news, social media and even our friends are all things that influence us. If we fill our heads with garbage that the world is offering up then what do you expect to come out? My old school teacher used to tell us that our minds are like “little computers”, garbage in means garbage out. Not only that but, there are real people with serious agendas that are contrary to God’s word out there fighting against us Romans 16:18 says, ” For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. How can we make good decisions based on that? I like what Hebrews 4:12,13 says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart…” so basically scripture is a filter in a sense. If we fill our hearts and minds with scripture then our decisions will be “filtered” through the word in our heart. This will help guide us on how to live and think and make good decisions in our day to day lives. If you haven’t already figured it out, being Christian is a constant battle. Pretty much everything on this planet is designed to make you stray from truth. Just look what is happening today across the globe.

If you know me then you have probably heard this story several times… it’s a little far off from the point but, just bear with me here I’ll try to connect it at the end… When my kids were very young we had a pool that I made. It was probably about 3 1/2 ft tall and it was filled about 3/4’s of the way up. The kids at the time, being small were up to their necks and chest in water. One of the things we always loved doing was walking in a single file line around the outer edge of the pool together. We all walked the same direction, which in turn, makes a whirlpool. We would speed up and get the water really moving. At my command I would yell “turn around” and we would all change direction. Of course, the water would knock them down and a lot of splashing and giggling would ensue. The rushing water would sweep them away carrying them around and around the pool. I would encourage them constantly to try to get up and fight against the current. I could see them really struggle to get up and walk against the current. Sometimes from exhaustion they would just drop and float along in the current round and round. Sometimes they would cling to me as I, being much bigger, easily walked in the opposite direction. Even through our play I used to tell them that this is what it would be like when they grew up. The entire world would be moving in a certain direction and, that as Christians they would find that they would often be moving in the opposite direction of everyone else. I hope that they understood that it would be difficult sometimes and at sometimes they would be swept away in the current (events). I hope they also understood that they need to get up and keep pushing back and moving in the opposite direction. I realize that this is a long way around to explain that even with good intent and driven by passion and our hearts we can be deceived and in good conscience going with the flow with everyone else. In reality we should be pushing back and going the opposite direction against the flow… our understanding of scripture and guidance of God leading the way.
Well, I hope that makes sense to you. We can’t always assume that our hearts and minds are leading us in the correct way. Only by the guidance of Gods word can we truly know what direction we should be going in our lives, our current world and, actually trust where our hearts lead us.

Back to the source…

I realize its been a while since there has been a posting so maybe this will be a welcome sight?

The times we’ve been having lately, regarding the corona virus and quarantining, has provided a little more time to reflect on life. For me personally, I get so wrapped up in the day to day, week to week routines that I don’t get to pick my head up and just look around and take a breath. I think God wants us to get our bearings once in a while so that we can get back on course in our lives spiritually. We all can get into a rut or routine that has us doing the same things over and over. Its those everyday routines that causes us to loose sight of the things we were taught regarding our behavior as Christians. I’m sure that no one has their head in the sand about the condition of morality in our world today… just minutes into a current news broadcast or a glance into a newspaper (if they still exist) or podcast can confirm that there is a definite downward spiral of morality and overall behavior. If you have any amount of age on you the recent changes are unbelievable. If you have any upbringing in a “Christian” or God Fearing home its blatantly obvious that the entire world has gone off the mark quite a bit. As Christians our behavior should be separate, different and non-conforming to the happenings of this world. Romans 12:2 says, NIV: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Wow, how many of us are doing that? If we are saved and have grown in knowledge of Christ we have experienced the “renewing of our minds” the things we once did or said as an unsaved individual are now scrutinized under a new outlook or set of standards. Where do these standards come from?.. The Bible, of course. We all have grown and learned by studying the bible that God has a set of standards and, I’m not speaking of the 10 commandments. We have conviction when we do questionable things that we once never thought twice about. That conviction steers us in God’s will. Unfortunately for us, that conviction can be silenced, pushed back in our minds and, ignored. You may ask yourself.. wait, when have I done that? See, you are doing it right now thinking, “who me?.. never!” We have all and consistently do compromise our faith and belief. Sometimes it is so subtle and maybe truthfully you don’t even realize it? Think about it, you are watching a new movie and there is a lot of cursing and drug use, not to mention pretty much all movies nowadays show a same sex “implied romantic relationship”. How does God feel about that? by not saying something or turning it off are we sending an incorrect message? Sure the sin debt is paid but, as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10:23 (NKJV): “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.” which means all things are lawful [that is, morally legitimate or permissible], but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life]. If we condone by our silence and participate in the behavior that we know to be incorrect what does that say about our faith and about us. Paul writing to a young Timothy gives great instruction regarding our behavior as Christians. 1 Timothy 4:12 (KJV) “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity”. Believe me, there is always someone watching and our character is always being assessed. We must know our God and what he expects of us. You say, OK, I hear you but, it is hard to be good all the time… I forget sometimes, don’t you? So we are back to where I began, I believe God wants us to get our bearings from time to time. We need to take time and reflect on our lives and where we are compared to where God wants us… evaluate our faith and behaviors and make the necessary changes. We do that by spending time with Him in scripture. Again, Paul speaking to Timothy about Christian conduct in 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV) “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. In our current world there are no examples of godly living only a declining scale of morality where anything goes. We must re-evaluate and realign ourselves up to the unchanging and perfect scriptures. It puts in to reality the words we sang of old hymns about rocks, anchors and cornerstones all of which are solid, hold fast and are unmoving. Contrary to the doctrine of today on television and talk radio God is not “doing a new thing” as it says in Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” We must dive in to scripture evaluate ourselves and adjust. We must get back to the source.

Remnant Report Aug 20

Ready or not the King is coming!

Each day we get closer to the glorious return of the King of Kings! Jesus stated “not even the angels of heaven” know the date or time of Jesus’ return. The time of Jesus’ coming is not even discussed in heaven. “But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone” Mark 13:32  However, we are commanded to watch continually for the coming of Christ. In the context of Matthew 24:36 Jesus spoke of a series of events that will precede His return, but the precise moment of that great event has not been revealed to anyone. Only the Father knows the time and in His infinite wisdom He has chosen not to reveal it. His return will be quick Jesus said: “Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left” (Matthew 24:40-41).  From this it is evident there will not be a second chance. Every opportunity to be saved is gone forever. One is taken, and the other is left behind. We take these words of Jesus to mean the believer will be taken with Christ at His return. There is great assurance for the believer, our blessed hope in the coming of Christ. “For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day” (2 Timothy 1:12). Those individuals who have placed their faith in Jesus the Christ will be separated by the unexpected coming of the Lord.  Clearly watching current events and studying with our Pastor during the last few weeks in his prophecy primer, it is evident that this time is quickly approaching. With this in mind there is so much more of an urgency as servants of Christ to tell others of the Good News, the Gospel. There are no excuses!

If you are just visiting and have not placed your faith in Christ do so now… How are you saved? How do you receive eternal life? The Bible is very clear John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. God has offered you the free gift of salvation or eternal life. It is a gift that was paid in full by Jesus the Christ when He died in your place on the cross. You can do nothing to merit it or earn it. To try to pay for it is an insult to the grace of God. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is that simple, He’s just saying “trust me.” If you have done that tell someone, we’d love to hear about it so that we (all) can rejoice along with you!

Continue to pray for this ministry and Pastor Greg, we surely do appreciate it.

Remnant Report – March 20, 2017

Why Christians Should Reject Disney’s New Beauty and the Beast

If you care about your children or grandchildren, you will pay closer attention to media these days. Sadly – and to the shame of modern “Christians” – most parents and grandparents blindly obey the world system. They know nothing about what is truly going on, instead preferring to trust everything offered to them via media. As they follow the modern “progressive” ways of the world, they lead their children away from God.

For what it’s worth, most Christians mean well – but they’re foolish. Spiritually, many people who say they believe in Jesus appear to be “dumb as a bag of hammers”. Before you say “that’s mean” and dismiss me, consider the fact that most Christians apparently have NO filter on what they take into their soul in the name of “entertainment”.

The latest example is the new version of Beauty and the Beast. I call it “Fake Beauty and the Beast”, because it adds elements to the story that were never in the original tale. The new plot elements add nothing to the story other than perverse thinking. What I’m referring to is the homosexuality that was placed into the plot.

What, you mean you haven’t heard about that? As I mentioned, if you’re like many Christians in the 21st century, you’re woefully blind and ignorant of current issues – as well as Biblical truth. Sad. If you haven’t heard about this new hit Disney movie’s gay scenes, here’s an article you should read:

Homosexual director of “Beauty and Beast” wants to rip the Bible to pieces

What should you make of this? Simply put, the world has an agenda. It’s primary mission is to oppose the Creator in every way. It does this through subtilty (Genesis 3) and subversion. It does it through innocuous and innocent and harmless appearances. It does it through entertainment, through fun, and through things that appeal to people. Nothing is new.

Paired with the total lack of basic discernment on the part of most Christians, we are like sitting ducks. Satan – “the god of this world” – rules over people who say they follow Christ just as much as he rules over the most willing devil-worshipper. What difference does it make to him if someone says they follow Jesus Christ, when in reality they actually follow Satan by obeying his world system?

Christians – if they have any commitment to God’s principles and commands – will at least attempt to live for Him. If they have an ounce of courage, they’ll make at least a small stand for Jesus. If they really believe the Bible is true, they’ll at least see and know that this world opposes Christ and they’ll try to not bend to every whim of the outside pressures of temptation and worldliness.

And that is why Christians should not go see Beauty and the Beast. It is a movie that promotes homosexuality, directed by a homosexual director who hates the Bible, promoted by an anti-Christian company (yes, Disney is most definitely anti-Christian), aimed at your child. No sane parent would bring their little boy or little girl to a film like this – Christian or not.

Wake up, Christians. Judging by the fact that this movie is a smash hit, you’re all asleep. (No doubt, a number of those box-office ticket purchases came from professing “believers”.) So, Christian, to put it bluntly….stop being so stupid! Stop being so weak and fleshly, just because you feel like being entertained constantly. Act like a child of God for a change.

Take a stand, for once, against what is wrong. Instead of taking your kids to a movie that advocates being “gay”, tell them you won’t be seeing it and tell them why. Set an example for your kids of how a Christian should act.

Is that too hard?

Remnant Report – January 24, 2017

In today’s Remnant Report, we examine some of the news highlights from the last week. A few of these have bearing on the Last Days, in which we undoubtedly live. Is that a bad thing? For some, yes. But for believers – informed believers – it only means we’re closer to the event called the Blessed Hope, aka the Rapture, aka the translation of the church.

Did you ever wonder what the early church believed? If we knew what they early believers thought about the end times, it might show us if we’re on the “right track”. It turns out, there are written records in which early believers clearly lay out what they thought would happen in the last days. And it turns out, they thought the pre-millenial view is correct. Here’s an interesting lecture from the 2016 “Prophecy Watchers Conference” by author Ken Johnson, in which he talks about this subject:

US Ambassador to Live in Jerusalem

Watch Jerusalem. It is a prime, if not the prime, prophetic indicator. And it is interesting (and encouraging) to watch how favorable President Trump is already acting towards Israel and Jerusalem. Not only has he made clear that he will move the embassy to the “true” capital of Israel, Jerusalem, our ambassador has already stated he will live in Jerusalem. It’s happening, folks.

What Does It Take to Get into Heaven?

Most people want to get into heave. And most people have no concept of what the Bible simply states regarding salvation. Read The Big Lie: “Tolerance Gets Souls to Heaven”.

Simple belief in Jesus (the Lord’s Christ) is all that is actually required. Jesus asks, “Do you trust me?” and you either do or you do not. What could be simpler?

His Last Act: Funded Israel’s Enemies

Obama’s final act as president was to give money to the enemies of Israel. From the article: “The Muslim leaders of ‘Palestinian Authority’ exhort Muslims living in Gaza, Judea and Samaria to kill Jews and attack the Jewish state. They glorify murder and reward terrorists and their families and indoctrinate their young to grow up to be homicide/suicide bombers. These funds will be used to slaughter, maim and destroy.”

Every believer should be pro-Israel. And being in favor of Israel would entail doing things that help them, and not doing things that bring them harm. Simple stuff.

The Devil Wants to be in the High Places

What is it with satan statues these days? First it was in Oklahoma, now it’s in Arkansas’ state capitol

A Major Prophetic Sign Appeared The Moment Donald Trump Stepped To The Inauguration Platform

Take it for what it’s worth. I’m not making claims of whether or not this was a true sign from God. But I do believe in observing the times, and I believe that sometimes the Lord might communicate to us through circumstances and events that otherwise go unnoticed. Whether this was a “major prophetic sign” or not, one thing is certain: it would do people good to give more attention and thought to what God’s might be doing and what His will is in the events and circumstances of life.

The Acceptance of Sharia Continues

We should focus our attention on the True God – the Lord Jesus – and seek His will. But don’t forget the tactics of the enemy. The enemy is quite active.

Author of Confusion Still Attacking God in Our Universities

Not new news, just a reminder of how demonic our universities have become. This one is a religious university, no less. It might be worse than secular universities, in its direct attack on God.

And from the blog of sci-fi author Jerry Pournelle, a brief comment entitled “Universities Go Insane on God!”:
“Another day, another university’s religion program bogged down by political correctness. Earlier this week, we reported on how two top divinity schools are suggesting gender-neutral pronouns for God — and now one of the top colleges in the nation has students asking about whether God is a racist. Specifically, Pennsylvania’s Swarthmore College is offering a religion class this semester titled, ‘Is God a White Supremacist?'” Obviously, the insanity has reached new levels.

And what is the logical conclusion of this line of thinking? This commenter sees right through it. ‘I suppose the solution, then, is to worship the Devil since he must be tolerant, inclusive, and he celebrates diversity.’ I’d say that’s a pretty accurate statement of what they ultimately would like to see.

Pope Francis – the Anti-Israel Pope

And finally, the latest from the supposed earthly substitute of Christ: Pope Francis Strengthens Palestinian Refusal to End Hostilities with Israel. Always anti-Israel and pro-terrorists, without fail.

Remnant Report – January 17, 2017

Was the Florida Airport Shooter a Muslim?

If you’ve already forgotten about the shooting in Florida just a couple of weeks ago, don’t feel bad. Soon after it was national news, the national news stopped reporting on it. It was claimed that the shooter was nothing more than a (hispanic) American military veteran. A lone wolf. Another crazy “lone gunman”. But was there more to the story? Did the media stop reporting…because it was found that he was actually a jihadist? According to this report, he was indeed a Muslim, loyal to ISIS. (Also, see here.)

ABC News only briefly mentions this possibility, buried in the middle of one of their articles on the subject:
“Since the attack, investigators recovered his computer from a pawn shop, and the FBI is examining it to determine whether the alleged shooter created a jihadist identity for himself using the name Aashiq Hammad, according to officials familiar with the case.” [Source]

Pre-Flood History: A Pyramid, Built by a Giant?

The legend (or myth, or…history, depending on what you believe) about the largest pyramid in the world is quite interesting. If you believe the Bible, you believe that giants once lived in our world (see Genesis 6). Battles and wars with giants are a very significant part of Israel’s history (the books of Moses contain numerous examples). You are also probably at least familiar with Goliath – and his brothers. But have you ever wondered about the rest of the ancient world?

It stands to reason that if there were tribes of giants surrounding the ancient nation of Israel, there were probably giants beyond the middle east: Europe, east Asia, and beyond the seas in the Americas. And “myths” from all over the world seem to validate this possibility. The myths, fairytales, legends…and even histories from every part of the globe mention giants.

One such myth is the story of how the Great Pyramid of Cholula was built. Supposedly, a giant was in charge of its construction. (Interestingly, the legend says he escaped a flood.)

In 1958, A Man Named Trump Promised to Build a Wall in Texas

Is this prophetic, coincidental, or something else? I’ll let you arrive at your own conclusion. But it’s not easy to explain, using earthly, human reasoning. Is it? No matter what, it’s yet another interesting synchronicity that defies the concept that we live in a purely physical world – with no connection to God or eternity. [See the Article: 1958 Western: A Man Named Trump Promises to Build a Wall in Texas]

A Radical Concept for the Modern Age: Masculine Men and Feminine Women!

These days, it’s considered weird, offensive, and even “hateful” to say that men should be men – and women should be women. But, it’s true – and as Christians we need to not only state the obvious, but actively teach our kids the truth about God’s order of creation. If we don’t, the world will teach its lies.

Coach Dave Daubenmire talks about this in his article “Masculine Men and Feminine Women“. “Men to be Masculine and women to be feminine was God’s idea. ‘Male and female created He them…'”

Meanwhile – in China – their society is actively seeking to prevent what has happened in the US: While U.S. Media Celebrates Feminization of Boys, China Moves to Prevent ‘Masculinity Crisis’.

At the end of this week is the inauguration of a new president. Pray for the USA, pray for the president, and pray for Jerusalem. Because it’s possible we will see the Trump presidency impact Israel (in a favorable way, towards Israel) like no presidency before.

Remnant Report – January 9, 2017

If you look at the world from a purely earthly perspective, things can seem pretty grim. In fact, if there was no Bible and if there was no truth and if there was no eternal life, this existence would seem pointless much of the time. Put yourself in that mindset for a moment: imagine that the Bible and everything written in it is made up. I’ll wait.

Did you do that? Didn’t it feel hopeless and depressing? Good. Now you know why atheists are always so miserable. (And maybe you’ll be more patient with them next time you have a dialogue with one. Most of them are dealing with some serious darkness.)

Now, get back into your right mind and realize the facts: there is a very real Creator (named Jesus Christ) who died and rose again to save the world – you included. He gave us a record of His Word so we can know His will and understand this existence. We are living in a world that’s only temporarily controlled by evil, but God is still ultimately in control. He loves us and will fulfill all the things written in the Book.

Also, we’re almost certainly at the very end of this age, which means that just “around the corner” we’ll finally see justice, peace, and the restoration of all things. It’s not long at all.

So before you read the rest of this week’s Remnant Report, I hope you’re in that mindset of hope and anticipation. Because we see some signs of the times, and unless you realize that the times culminate in the Rapture and then Christ’s return…it doesn’t look very nice. (And that’s an understatement.)

Obama, the Modern-Day Haman

This is a thought-provoking analysis of Obama written by a rabbi. It shows a few very significant parallels between modern-day Iran and ancient Persia (which are same country) and Obama and Haman (from the book of Esther) as well as parallels between Netanyahu and Esther. I recommend you read the book of Esther (takes less than an hour) and then read the article.

The Persecution of Christians – Happening Now

The fact is that Christians are the most persecuted group today. We might not see it every day in modern America, but in much of the world persecution for naming the name of Christ is a fact of life. If you were forced to choose between denying Christ (and being allowed to live) or being loyal to Christ (with the consequence of torture or death) – which would you choose? Would you be able to stand firm and faithful to Jesus? Think about that. Because many of our brothers and sisters must face that question every day.

California, Leading the Way (to the Abyss)

As reported from the always-informative Woodpile Report: “Washington Examiner – California Democrats legalize child prostitution…teenagers free to solicit money for sex without fear of arrest or prosecution. Soon enough we’ll be anti-pedophile bigots, or ‘pedophobes’ for short. That’s where it’s going.” Of course it was the Democrats. And no, the article is not a joke.

And in other news coming out of California (“Hellywood” this time)…Another Sick Comedy from Hollywood. Why anyone would watch this – much less find it funny – boggles any rational mind.

Now, Elites Want Blood

The Bible is always correct, and once again science is starting to catch up to what the Bible has stated all along: the life of the flesh is in the blood. But, as always, this world system perverts the Creator’s design and intentions.

Even though it sounds sensational and unbelievable, the following is true: one of the latest fads among this world’s “elites” seems to be injecting the blood of young people into themselves in order to regain lost youth and extend their lifespans. Modern-day, real-life vampirism? Well…yeah. Pretty much.

[Original source article from Inc. magazine: “Peter Thiel Is Very Interested in Young People’s Blood“]

Remnant Report – January 2, 2017

It’s a new year – a time for new beginnings. I wish everyone a prosperous 2017 and hope you go farther and higher in your endeavors than you did in previous years. Will you read your Bible through this year? Start in Genesis 1:1 today – there’s no better time to start reading than right now. (Or at least, right after you read this edition of the Remnant Report!)

The Great “Fake News” Scare Of 1530

Don’t think that the fake “fake news” scare is something new. While it’s true that the lying major media in our modern times just recently invented their whole “fake news” narrative (in an attempt to silence the truthful alternative media, bloggers, conservatives, traditionalists…and a Biblical worldview in general) – this has all happened before! Ecclesiastes 1:9 is accurate when it says “there is no new thing under the sun”.

Read here about the same thing – the “powers that be” censoring truthful dissenting opinion – back in the 1500s! What it’s about today, and what it was about in 1530 is the same thing: though police. Those who hold power have always been afraid of truth.

If you know your Bible, you already understand the reasons behind this. The devil is the father of lies, and the LORD is Truth. Those who are captives of the devil are easily deceived by lies. But the followers of the true God love truth. It’s all clear as day…and laid bare in the pages of scripture.

Season’s Greetings Beatings!

It never used to be this way. But this past Christmas, America saw numerous mall brawls. Why all the violence? Here’s a fairly comprehensive overview of what occurred last week.

There’s a War on – Against Israel

I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that the world’s forces are all engaged in warfare against the nation of Israel. For now, it’s being fought with words and ideas – for the most part. But it’s very real, and has implications for you (whether or not you believe the Bible). Here’s an article that explains much of it: The UN Declares War on Judeo-Christian Civilization. Read it all.

The Shantytowns of America

You might have a roof over your head, food in your stomach, and clothes on your back. If so, be thankful to God and to those who have allowed you to be where you are in life. Many Americans aren’t as comfortable as you and I. Look at how some of your fellow Americans are living – you may be surprised.

This Is How Sharia Begins

We know how sharia always looks when it matures into its full form: women covered totally from head-to-toe in black, beheadings, the abuse and/or killing of any non-Muslims, and a general air of evil and oppression. Islam, when it is allowed to fully express itself, is the perfect and complete manifestation of oppressive evil. Not only is it a religion, but it’s a complete political system and way of life that constantly denigrates all that is good.

The irony is that it does it all in the name of “god” and supposed goodness. Every time an innocent is murdered for the god of Islam, the murderer says they do it for their god, and they will be rewarded. This is what we face.

A Warning from a German Girl. Facebook banned this girl’s short video testimony. You’ll know why after you see it!

“‘You may not be in a religious war with me, but I’m in a religious war with you,'” recalled former CIA interrogator James Mitchell the views of al-Qaeda (AQ) mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad…” Unlike the sensitive leftist “snowflakes” in our modern society, I believe the man.

You know that sharia has arrived when you see things like this: Germany closes down New Year’s celebrations.

The Pre-Flood World

It was likely much more like the current world than it was like the Flintstones. Technologically, they might not have had iPhones but they were no slouches. Check out 30 Mind-boggling images that suggest advanced technology existed thousands of years ago.

Remnant Report – December 28, 2016

Christmas Greetings From Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel

A day late, but still worth watching. A Christmas greeting with class.

Elsewhere in the Middle East: Persecution of Christians

The reality is that in much of the world Christians aren’t treated with kindness. Believers who live in “Christian” nations have it pretty easy.

Globalism is Demonic

I’ve been saying it for a long time, and have blogged about this globalism before in the Remnant Report. For what it’s worth, theologians agree, globalism is from satan.

Can We Just Agree To Disagree?

Evidently, no. Those days are gone. As one commenter said, after the politically incorrect blog Happy Acres was shut down by the provider without warning, “The America I remember, and grew up in, allowed differences of opinion. We need to get back to that.”. Amen.

In this age of sore losers, the left uses Christmas gifts for a way to get revenge. The losers do not lose with dignity.

But all they’re doing is acting like their father (John 8:44). The devil is wroth when he loses (Rev. 12:17), and throws a supreme tantrum on his way to destruction – taking down everyone he can along the way.

Obama’s Betrayal of Israel: What Does it Mean?

A few days ago, our soon-to-be-former president totally betrayed the nation of Israel. The headlines speak for themselves.

Obama Betrays Israel At The United Nations – Is America’s Reprieve Now Over?

The UN Security Council Has Just Officially Given Every Inch Of East Jerusalem To The Palestinians

God is real. And God cares about the Hebrew people and the land he gave to Abraham. To my simple believing mind, it appears that unless our national policy is remedied quickly, we should expect serious consequences from the LORD.

Is this the beginning of the sequence of events that will lead to the rapture of the church? We could very well be witnessing exactly that.

Israel summons ambassadors for dressing down over UN resolution. Netanyahu also accused the US president, Barack Obama, of directly coordinating the resolution at the morning cabinet meeting. ‘We have no doubt that the Obama administration initiated it, stood behind it, coordinated its versions and insisted upon its passage,’ he said. Washington has denied this. Netanyahu Accuses Obama of Orchestrating U.N. Resolution. ‘All the American Presidents after Jimmy Carter have kept their commitment.'”

Remnant Report – December 21, 2016

In a few days, Christians everywhere will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour. Even non-Christians will acknowledge Him, (knowingly or not). Have a truly Merry Christmas, and remember to thank the Creator who came here to save us (1 Timothy 3:16 & 1 Timothy 2:5-6).

Tim Tebow Shares His John 3:16 Story

Feelings > Facts? Not to a Christian.

We hear a lot about feelings (“feels”) today. People are more concerned about how something makes them feel than with the facts. But Christians put their feelings aside, when evaluating any situation. We are concerned primarily with truth.

In John 8:32, Jesus says: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

To a Christian, their God is Truth. Literally! Not only does Jesus tell us the truth (John 16:7) and embody the Truth (John 14:6), God’s Word is Truth (John 17:17), and His Spirit is Truth (1 John 5:6).

Feelings take a back seat; the Truth is what we care about more than anything. Even when the facts might be unpleasant.

On the Berlin “Religion of Peace” Attack

The “Religion of Peace” (so-called) has struck again: this time in Berlin (on December 19th). The target? Ostensibly German Christians, doing some shopping. The major news media, of course, doesn’t honestly report on the events. More at the links:

The Truth About the Berlin Christmas Market Attack

“There is no problem with refugees,” says Angela Merkel. The “Terror Attack Map” of Germany shows differently.

Is Islam really a religion of peace, as so many in the government and media have claimed? Let’s see: numerous unprovoked attacks aimed at Christians, perpetrated by worshippers of a god who is not known for peace. (The 2016 Timeline of Islamic Terror clearly shows this.) Compare and contrast with the Christian God who we worship – Jesus Christ – known as the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

Real Giants?

When people question whether or not real, actual, literal giants walked the earth, all I can ask is: do you believe the Bible?

Not everyone does believe the Bible, of course. Many people have doubts about the plain words of the scripture. But the Bible is (and will be) proven correct – even concerning the existence of giants.

To put this find in perspective, 3m-5m in height is in the range of 10-16 feet – well within “Goliath” range. This is just one of many instances where actual bones have been discovered. Giants, evidently, were more common than modern man can imagine.

A Nation of Sorcery?

When you consider just how widespread drug use is in America, it makes the pharmakeia (sorcery) mentioned in Revelation 18:23 and other places much more relevant to modern times.

The City on Seven Mountains

Often, Revelation 17:9 (“the seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth”) is cited as a reference to Rome. Critics and apologists for Roman Catholicism have said that Rome sits on seven hills, so the verse is not a reference to Rome. It is true that in modern times, Rome is known as the “city on seven hills” – not mountains. And it is also true that many other cities can be claimed to rest upon seven hills.

But Rome is most likely the city referred to in Revelation. I have (at least) four reasons:

  1. Rome is the only major international city of any significance that rests on seven hills or mountains
  2. The Greek word “oros” used in this verse is variously translated in English as “mountain” OR “hill”
  3. Rome is and was referred to as resting on seven MOUNTAINS as well as HILLS. The terms are used interchangeably, especially in Latin. (See “Septem montes Romae” or Septimontium.)
  4. No other religious power of any worldwide significance is based in an area that rests upon seven hills or mountains.

Anarchy Sharia in the UK

The England of Dickens is gone. The England of Churchill is gone. The England of the Beatles is gone. Even the England of Mr. Bean is no more. England, as it historically was, is gone. Instead, Islamists march in the streets demanding sharia.

Do you follow the WORD or the WORLD?

A final thought, from Let Us Reason: “Jesus said we are sanctified by the word, without it we join the world and get conformed to its ways, trapped and useless.”
